LENT 2026

From 18th Feb – 2nd April over the period of lent we will be using the 40 days to spend time in prayer and fasting as a church.

There are many different ways we will be doing this together as church from gatherings to daily devotionals, prayer spaces to meetings.

Find out everything going on here.

DAILY DEVOTIONALS

We will be sending out daily devotionals by email. These are designed to be a daily reminder and encouragement in guiding you on how to pray through the season of Lent.

If you would like to receive these emails, you need to opt in by clicking on the button below.

DEVOTE YOURSELVES TO PRAYER, BEING WATCHFUL AND THANKFUL.

Prayer Room

Throughout the whole season of lent we will have a dedicated prayer room at The Gateway. We would love to encourage you to come down, use the space to encourage you in your prayer. This will be upstairs until the final week where it will be relocated into the auditorium to connect with our Holy Week gatherings.

Holy Week

The final week of Lent is Holy Week, leading up to Easter Sunday. We will be holding a number of different events throughout the week, ranging from Passover meals to worship nights, prayer meetings, and reflective spaces. More information on the events will be coming soon, but we would love to encourage you and your life groups to join in with this week.

Easter Sunday

We will be finishing Lent with Easter Sunday – this will be a big gathering and celebration of Jesus’ resurrection and the freedom we are all invited into. This is an excellent service to invite friends along to, to hear the story of Jesus and be invited to join in.

Prayer Walking Every Street in Yeovil

Prayer Walking Yeovil – Join Us in Covering Every Street in Prayer

As part of our 40 Days of Prayer, we’re setting ourselves an exciting goal: to prayer walk every street in Yeovil. We believe prayer changes things, and as we walk our streets, we’re inviting God’s presence, peace, and kingdom to come in every neighbourhood, home, and community.

Prayer walking is simple — it’s just praying as you walk. You might pray for the people who live in the houses you pass, for families, schools, local businesses, or for God’s blessing and transformation across our town. You can do it on your own, with friends, as a family, or with your life group.

We’re using a prayer walking app to help us map which streets have been covered and to make sure, together, we reach every part of Yeovil. By signing up and logging your walks, you become part of a bigger story of sustained, united prayer across our whole church family.

Whether you can cover one street or many, every step matters.

Download the app, sign up, and choose your streets today. Let’s see Yeovil covered in prayer. Click here to join in.
