Children & Families Leader

We are looking for someone to join our fantastic staff team to develop and lead the children and families work at Yeovil Community Church.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the children’s work for our congregation, which is currently around 500 people (both in person and online).  This will involve helping to develop our overall strategy for children and families work to meet our church vision, leading the team of volunteers who deliver our Sunday and mid-week children’s groups, and exploring how we can best re-establish our schools work following the Covid pandemic.

Yeovil Community Church is a vibrant and diverse community with an exciting mixture of generations and cultures, families and individuals, teens, adults, and thriving seniors living out faith, hope and love in our community.  Our church run a student internship programme and a dynamic children and youth programme.  We also provide help to around 200 families in crisis each year through our Yeovil4Familiy programme, work with a wide range of agencies to support vulnerably housed and homeless people, run stay and play groups for young families, and operate a thriving Coffee Shop. We are currently hosting the Covid vaccination programme for Yeovil and the surrounding area, so most of the town has passed through our doors over the last 12 months.  It’s a great place to help people find hope, and encounter Jesus.

If you think you can help lead and manage our work with children and families amongst this great bunch of people we’d love to hear from you.
