We are looking for people who are keen to serve the community and are available for fixed-hours or flexible part-time work to replace an existing staff member who is leaving, and to provide additional shift cover.

Coffee Shop Assistant – Job Description

Coming Soon – Venue & Events Manager

We will soon be looking for someone to join our fantastic staff team to lead our “front of house” operations for The Gateway – the church building where Yeovil Community Church meet, and from which we operate a wide range of exciting social action and community focused projects.

You’ll be responsible for making sure we provide a safe and caring environment so that everyone who visits or takes part in events at the Gateway feels welcomed and valued, and you’ll make sure everyone who works or volunteers here understands that they all have a role to play in making that happen.
This will involve leading the volunteer team who run our reception, organising, hosting and promoting bookings and events, ensuring the building is maintained and cleaned well, and managing the whole client experience for all people who engage with the venue.

If you think you can be the welcoming and helpful face of the Gateway, set the culture and environment for the events and ministries that we host here, and develop our longer term building usage by the wider community, then look out for more information towards the middle of August 2021.

Coming Soon – Executive Assistant

(Part-time – 22.5 hours)

We will soon be looking for someone to join our fantastic staff team to provide support to the Strategic Leadership Team at Yeovil Community Church, and take responsibility for some key admin tasks across our church.

You’ll work closely with the senior staff team, providing PA support to the Church Leader, managing communications within the church, handling external queries, helping with Sunday service planning and organisation of the volunteer teams, and looking after legalities such as licences and regular service provider contracts.

Pastoral Strategic Lead

(Part-time – 22.5 hrs/week)

We are looking for someone to join our fantastic staff team to develop and lead the pastoral care within Yeovil Community Church.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the pastoral care provision for our congregation, both in person and online, our staff team of 40+ and our large number of  volunteers, as well as the hundreds of members of the community who visit our building through the week.
