Youth Leader

Are you passionate about guiding and inspiring young people? We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to lead and oversee all our youth activities for ages 11-18. This role focuses on shaping the spiritual growth and pastoral care of our youth, ensuring every aspect aligns with the vision and values of our Leadership Team. You will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive. Join us in making a lasting impact on the next generation!

Yeovil Community Church is a vibrant, diverse community with a mix of generations and cultures, teens, adults, children and seniors living out faith, hope and love in our community. Alongside our Create internship, we host a thriving community hub where people can access a wide range of resources and support, including: stay and play groups for young families, dynamic children’s and youth programmes, a job club, the Yeovil Welcome Hub (providing care and support for refugees), The Roost (a drop-in service for the homeless and vulnerably housed), and a buzzing coffee shop where people can find great food and a warm welcome. We also provide help to around 200 families in crisis per year through our very successful Yeovil4Family programme.  It’s a great place to help people find hope and encounter Jesus.

If you have a passion for inspiring and empowering young people, combined with strong leadership and pastoral skills, we’d love to hear from you!

Community Outreach Worker

The Roost is looking for a new team member!

The Community Outreach Worker role is for 15 hours a week, and you would be working alongside the Senior Community Outreach Worker serving the homeless population of Yeovil and surrounding areas.

The Roost’s mission is to see people make positive change by empowering them to take control of their own lives; to build community and restore hope by taking the love of Jesus to those on the margins.

In this role, the Community Outreach Worker would co-lead the Roost Drop-In service, support a caseload of clients, and make The Roost’s presence known within the street community through outreach.

We believe Jesus told us to care for those in need and serve others wholeheartedly. We want to make a difference in the lives of everyone we encounter and believe that the small things are just as important as the big things. Whether it’s overcoming addiction, finding accommodation, using the onsite laundry and shower facilities or simply having a bite to eat, we’re here Monday – Friday to help people find and take their next steps.

If you are passionate about getting alongside people in the street community, we’d love to hear from you.

Deadline for applications is Wednesday 20th November 2024 at 3pm. We anticipate that interviews will take place during the week beginning Monday 25th November 2024.

To apply, please complete the application pack and return to info@yeovil4family.org.uk.
