Easter is a significant moment in the church year, because we celebrate the most significant moment in all of history together. This year throughout the Easter season we will be holding a number of gatherings to give us the opportunity to come together in different formats and engage with the story of Jesus death and resurrection. To start things off YCC Kids will be holding an Easter Extravaganza on the 4th April for families to come down to The GateWay, have an Easter egg hunt plus lots more amazing activities. On Easter weekend itself we will be holding two liminal services on the Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm.

“Liminal is a multi-sensory experience that encourages a deeper spiritual engagement with the Easter narrative. On Good Friday, we have a contemporary iteration of Tenebrae, an ancient service that wrestles with themes of loss and separation and doubt. On Saturday, we offer a Soundbath –  an ambient soundscape of predominantly modern Icelandic music, designed to help our journey from the desolation of the cross to the possibility of love and resurrection.

Finally to finish off we will be holding an all age celebration on Easter Sunday full of worship, celebration, stories and activities together to celebrate Jesus. We meet at 10am, please come, join us and invite friends and families to be part of this special gathering.
