We recognise that the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of the whole church and we encourage all of our members, volunteers and staff to be vigilant at all times. It is the responsibility of each of us to protect and safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults’ care and to respond to all safeguarding concerns in a robust and timely manner.

Our team of Trustees have oversight of the church and have the responsibility to ensure that:

  1. Staff and volunteers are given appropriate support and training in developing safe, caring practices in their work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  2. There is a system in place for dealing with all safeguarding concerns.
  3. We aim to maintain good links with statutory child care authorities and other supporting agencies.
