Join us at The GateWay for church every Sunday at 10am. We are passionate about worship, encountering Jesus, being community, hearing from God’s word and encouraging one another. We believe church should be for all ages and stages, everyone is welcome.

Once a month we hold an all-age celebration where we worship and hear stories together with our kids and young people.

We live stream our Sunday services online every Sunday morning at 10am, you can also watch on YouTube and Facebook.

Visiting YCC FAQ’s

Our gatherings are relaxed, friendly and fun. As you enter the building, you will be greeted by our Welcome Team on the door who will guide you into the auditorium. The service begins with a welcome followed by worship. We then create space for Spotlight and corporate prayer. There will be a bible-based talk which should last about 20-30 minutes before returning to worship and a time for response and prayer. During this time there will be a financial collection but if you are visiting us, we don’t want you to feel any pressure to give financially. We usually conclude with notices about things you may be interested in.

We want to welcome you as you are. There is no specific dress code so just wear something you feel comfortable in.

Yes. We love helping young people explore their faith. There are children’s and youth groups that run during the Sunday service.

Sparklers (0-3 year olds): This group leaves the main service after the kid’s video and is a great space for babies and toddlers to have fun, get to know other children, play games and learn more about Jesus. There is a wonderful team running this group, meaning you can choose whether you would like to sit in the main service, or stay in the room with your child.

Ignite (4-11 year olds): This group also leaves the main service after the kid’s video and is where they have the opportunity to play games, take part in a variety of different activities, worship and pray together.

Livin’ It: (11-14 year olds): Depending on the week, this group either heads straight upstairs, to the small hall for sport and games or stay for worship in the main service, but don’t worry there will always be a member of the Youth team in Reception to help you. Each week they learn more about the Christian faith, study the Bible and discuss lots of interesting questions. They also have lots of fun playing games and eating snacks!

Parking – we have limited parking spaces around the building, but you can make use of nearby ‘Stars Lane carpark’ for free on Sunday mornings.

We are always willing to help if you have a question so look out for one of our Welcome Team who will be wearing a blue, ‘Get Connected’ T-shirt and red lanyard and they will be able to help you. Alternatively, you can visit our Get Connected stand at the back of the room.

What is Gift Aid

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Yeovil Community Church receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
